Russian-Ukrainian talks will be held on April 15-16 in Ankara. This is reported by CNN Turk with reference to sources in the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey.
It is noted that the parties will discuss the safety of navigation in the Black Sea.
"Sources in the Ministry of National Defense reported that Russian and Ukrainian officials will meet at the command of the Naval Forces in Ankara on April 15-16 on security issues in the Black Sea," the TV channel reports.
The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement that a meeting will be held on the steps to be taken in the event of a cease-fire in the Black Sea, the TV channel said.
"The meeting, which will be held with the participation of military representatives of foreign states, will discuss the naval dimension of military plans that can be drawn up in order to maintain peace in the Black Sea," CNN Turk adds.
Ukraine and the Russian Federation did not confirm the meeting.
Recall, during the recent meetings in Saudi Arabia, with the mediation of the United States, discussed the topic of a cease-fire on the Black Sea. The Russian Federation agreed to this on the condition that the United States and the European Union lift sanctions on Russian exports of agricultural products and fertilizers.
