Russia, the United States and Germany are conducting secret negotiations on gas supplies to the EU. This is reported by the publication Istories.media.
According to investigative journalists, we are talking about the possible purchase by the Russian company Rosneft of shares in three German refineries. The media indicates that the Russian company Pipeline Coatings and Technologies, which participated in the construction of Nord Stream 2, is preparing for a large order. The company should start actively purchasing patents for technical solutions that were used in the manufacture of pipes for gas pipelines. The publication refers to an anonymous source in Gazprom.
Istories.media also reports on several indirect signals indicating that Russia is preparing to restart the Nord Stream pipeline. In particular, the recent meeting of the European Pipe Manufacturers Association was another signal.
In addition, Bild writes about the meeting of Donald Trump's special envoy Richard Grenell in Switzerland, where it was about possible US mediation in the supply of Russian gas to Germany. Grenell himself denied this information. Also, the Financial Times reported on the Americans' interest in resuming the operation of gas pipelines.
EADaily reminds that in September 2022, at a depth of 80 meters at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, three of the four strands of the two Nord Stream-1 and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines were destroyed. Sweden and Denmark has stopped investigating the case. However, the German side continues to investigate on suspicion of "deliberate detonation of an explosive device" and an act of sabotage.
