The leader of the band "Hands up!" Sergey Zhukov filed a complaint with the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation demanding to invalidate the contract under which the band transferred the rights to the songs "My Baby", "Come Back", "Only dreaming about you", "I'll steal you" and other compositions to producer Andrei Malikov. "The court received a cassation appeal against the court decision that came into force on the claim of Zhukov Sergey Evgenievich and Potekhin Alexey Evgenievich to Malikov Andrey Ivanovich and LLC "The Jam publishing house," the materials say.

According to the case file, between Malikov and the publishing house "Jam" on the one hand, Zhukov and Potekhin, on the other hand, signed an agreement to transfer exclusive rights to the defendants, including the songs "Turn up the Volume" and "Without brakes." Zhukov's side believes that this agreement was drawn up in violation of copyright law, and filed a lawsuit with the Simonovsky Court of Moscow demanding its cancellation, but lost the process. The appeal confirmed the decision of the first instance.

As EADaily reported, on December 3-5, the Moscow City Court, at the request of Top 7 Company LLC, imposed on each online cinema - Kinopoisk, Start, Ivi and Premier — interim measures to protect the exclusive rights to the phonograms of the songs "Alien Lips", "Don't stay at Home", "My Baby", "Without love", "Song", "Girl", "Ugly", "Well, where are you, girls?", "Only dreaming about you", which are also used in the movie "Hands up!".

The department said that based on the decision of the Moscow City Court, notifications were sent to four online cinemas about the need to remove the mentioned soundtracks of songs playing in the film "Hands Up!".

Later, Zhukov, together with the First Music Publishing House label, appealed to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, and the Chairman of the Supreme Court, Irina Podnosova, "on the fact of outrageous actions" to block the film. Zhukov also filed three lawsuits demanding to stop the blocking.

Later, Zhukov filed a lawsuit with the Moscow Arbitration Court against the companies Jem Publishing House LLC and Top7 Company LLC. He intends to achieve a ban on blocking the film "Hands up!" on various online platforms.
