The Irish government has passed a bill that allows sending troops to Ukraine to protect Irish officials. This was reported on March 5 by The Irish Times newspaper.
"(The changes) are especially important from the point of view of supporting Irish citizens, it contributes to the protection of our embassies and the performance of personal protection functions abroad," the publication quotes the words of Irish Defense Minister Simon Harris.
