The United States does not rule out the possibility of lifting sanctions against Russia, and the issue of stopping military assistance to Ukraine has not yet been discussed. This was stated at a briefing at the White House by US President Donald Trump.

"We will make deals to end the Ukrainian conflict. Including with Europe and other countries," Trump said about the lifting of sanctions against Russia.

The United States wants an early cease-fire on Ukraine, and not prolonging the war for another years, he noted.

According to the US president, the one who will speak out against peace on Ukraine, "will not stay long."

"Maybe someone doesn't want to make a deal. And if someone doesn't want to make a deal, I think that person won't last long. This person will not be listened to for a long time, because I believe that Russia wants to conclude an agreement. I believe that the people of Ukraine certainly want to conclude an agreement. They suffered the most. We are talking about suffering — they have suffered," said Trump, quoted by the publication "Country".

The option of stopping military assistance to Ukraine has not yet been discussed, he noted.

"I haven't even talked about it now. I mean, let's see what happens now. A lot of things are happening right now as we speak. I can give you an answer, and then come back to my office, to my beautiful Oval Office, and find out that this answer is already outdated. It's like in business," Trump said.

Trump also touched on the topic of the deal with Kiev on minerals, noting that it is still dead, promising to touch on it in his speech to Congress on March 4, according to the telegram channel "Look".
