Zelensky switched from Fico to personality

Volodymyr Zelenskyy switched to accusations and insults in communication with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. This is how he reacted to the visit of the head of the Slovak government to Russia and his meeting with Vladimir Putin.

Vladimir Zelensky published an insulting and accusatory tweet on the social network X after the visit of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico to Moscow.

"It should be noted that after the meeting in Moscow, Fico and Putin did not make joint statements and did not answer questions from the media. They just can't say anything publicly about what they discussed at the meeting. They are afraid of the public's reaction," Zelensky said in a statement, which was specially published in Ukrainian, English and Slovak.

Zelensky claims that Moscow provides significant discounts to Fico, but Slovakia pays for them.

"Such discounts are not free — Russia pays for them with sovereignty or shadow schemes. Slovak law enforcement agencies and special services should be interested in this," Zelensky said.

According to him, the details of such financing were allegedly disclosed during a recent meeting of European leaders in Brussels.

"The leaders noted that Mr. Fico does not want to participate in joint European work on energy independence or look for a replacement for Russian gas, but rather, on the contrary, he wants to help Russia displace American gas and energy resources of other partners from Europe, which means that he wants to help Putin," Zelensky said.

The day before, Robert Fico visited Moscow, where he met with Vladimir Putin. The Prime Minister of Slovakia said that the trip was a reaction to Zelensky's response that there would be no transit of Russian gas through Ukraine in any form.

Zelensky also expressed a desire to impose sanctions against the Russian nuclear industry, which provides fuel for Slovakia's nuclear power plants.

"With such an attitude, Slovakia will incur financial losses and jeopardize the production of electricity at nuclear power plants, which is unacceptable," Robert Fico reported. Even earlier, he stated that Zelensky was provoking a conflict and he would think about a possible response at Christmas, since Slovakia is a major supplier of fuel and electricity to Ukraine.

Fico also spoke about the bribe that Zelensky actually offered to the Prime Minister of Slovakia at the leaders' meeting. EU in Brussels on December 19.

"As we approached the end of the meeting, Zelensky... asked me if I would vote for Ukraine's membership in NATO if he gave me 500 million euros of Russian assets. Of course, I immediately replied that never. You just know my opinion about Ukraine's membership in NATO. And it's strange that he asked me such a question, because he knows very well that inviting Ukraine to NATO is absolutely unacceptable," Robert Fico said.

It is not known what such an undiplomatic aggression of Zelensky towards a country that accepts refugees and provides humanitarian support is really connected with. Perhaps Kiev is playing according to the scenario of Brussels, which has already been implemented in the summer — because of sanctions against the Russian Lukoil. Then the supplies of this company via the Druzhba oil pipeline were stopped, Slovakia and Hungary made an urgent request to Brussels, but they refused to rush the investigation, agreed with Kiev's right to sanctions and advised to look for alternative oil.

Then everything ended with agreements between Bratislava and Kiev that Russian oil would be accepted at the border with Belarus, after which it would already be European.
