Ukraine does not pose a threat to Belarus. This was stated by the representative of the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko.
According to him, the situation on the border with Belarus is monitored by units of the State Border Service and the General Staff of Ukraine.
"Our units and the General Staff also notice that there is no build-up of any strike group in the direction of our border on the territory of Belarus. But, again, the pressure from Russia on Belarus remains in order for it to more actively join the war against our country," he said.
Demchenko noted that during the conflict, Ukraine has significantly strengthened the border with Belarus. In particular, we are talking about engineering structures, fortifications and mine-explosive barriers in the directions that the Ukrainian side considers the most dangerous.
"Belarus should understand and see what we are doing, that we do not pose a threat to Belarus, but if Belarus suddenly decides to join the war on its own, then it should understand what it will deal with," said the representative of the State Border Service.
We remind that Belarus does not take part in SMO on Ukraine. At the same time in Kiev is periodically told about the danger from the Belarusian side, although no convincing evidence of this is given.
