Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko on his birthday, the press service of the Russian leader reports.
"President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has cordially congratulated President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who completed a working visit to Moscow the day before, on his birthday," the press service said.
Vladimir Putin wished Alexander Lukashenko health, happiness, prosperity and success in state activities, the congratulatory telegram says.
In his congratulatory message posted on the Kremlin's website, the Russian president also noted Lukashenko's personal contribution to strengthening friendly relations between the countries and developing the institutions of the Union State. He said that he values the mutual understanding and trust established between them, expressing his intention to continue joint work on the development of Russian-Belarusian cooperation and integration processes in the Eurasian space.
