Oversees Vance: Putin's proposal for Istanbul-2 agreed with the White House — insider

The proposal of Russian President Vladimir Putin to immediately start negotiations in Istanbul without a 30-day truce has been previously agreed with the administration of Donald Trump. This is reported by the Kremlin Whisperer telegram channel, citing sources.

It is noted that Vice President J.D. Vance oversees the process from Washington.

"Sources close to the negotiating circles report that Vladimir Putin's proposal to immediately start negotiations in Istanbul without a 30-day truce has been previously agreed with Donald Trump's administration. The curator of the process from the American side is Vice-President Vance, who is seen as the architect of the "alternative plan of the world." This approach allows the White House to distance itself from the obviously failed formula of "truce under pressure" put forward by [the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir] Zelensky and European leaders, and save face by leaving the Ukrainian case," writes TK.

It is noted that in this context, the "ultimatum" on a truce from May 12 is losing relevance, since Putin bypassed it by offering a more realistic option. And the position of Trump, who cautiously approved the proposal of the Russian president, consolidated the change of course.

"In fact, the Russian and American leaders simultaneously shifted responsibility to Zelensky. If Kiev is really interested in dialogue, it should cancel the decree banning negotiations with Russia. Ukraine's refusal to travel to Istanbul and the cancellation of the presidential decree banning negotiations with Putin automatically makes it an unconstructive party, shifting responsibility for the continuation of the war to the Zelensky regime. This frees Trump's hands, allowing him to focus on bilateral negotiations on normalizing relations with the Russian Federation without taking Ukraine into account in the equation," the TC concludes.
