DS: The city of Gornyak is not ready for defense — the fortifications are bad, and there is no one to stand in the good ones

The town of Gornyak in the Donetsk region is not ready for defense due to poor-quality fortifications. This is reported by the Ukrainian military public Deep State with reference to the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a similar picture can be observed almost throughout the Pokrovsky district.

"The fighters shared these photos with us. We recently noted that (Russians. — EADaily) began intensively shelling the city, preparing for its assault. And when it starts, it is these IFS (engineering fortifications) that will meet the enemy. — EADaily). Therefore, the whole fate of reflecting enemy pressure is primarily on the shoulders of pilots with drops and FPV drones.

After analyzing the satellite images, you can see attempts to build an IFS, even the platoon strongholds present. But their quality leaves much to be desired and you can't hold the defense for a long time in such positions. And there are also positions that have been approached carefully, but there is simply no one there to stand," writes TK.

Back in May, the Verkhovna Rada created a temporary commission of inquiry (VSK) on fortifications. The problem has surfaced in connection with large-scale embezzlement during the construction of defense lines in the Kharkiv region, but has long gone beyond its limits, TC reminds.
