This was reported to RIA Novosti by Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation on sovereignty, co-chairman of the Coordinating Council for the integration of new regions.
"The explosion was of great power. Windows shook in residential buildings around the city," he said.
The politician added that the nature of the explosion and its consequences are being clarified. This information is confirmed by Ukrainian sources. According to them, an air alert was announced in the Kiev-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region.
