At Sochi airport today, on December 27, at these minutes there is a traffic collapse. Due to the flights previously canceled due to the threat of a raid by Ukrainian UAVs, the planes now began to arrive one after another, which caused chaos at the exit from the airport. An EADaily correspondent reports from the scene.
Earlier, due to the introduction of restrictions on flights at Sochi airport, 12 aircraft were forced to go to alternate airfields. Nevertheless, those who met them arrived at the airport — some by taxi, some by their own car. They all paid for parking in anticipation of an early departure. However, the flights were delayed, and people in cars kept arriving and arriving, and then had to wait.
When the airport began to receive aircraft, everyone — both the greeters and the arriving passengers rushed to check out. Someone was trying to order a taxi, someone was waiting for relatives. As a result, huge queues have accumulated at parking meters, since cars cannot leave the territory without payment.
The airport administration could simply open the barriers, however, apparently, they did not want to lose profits there. As a result, there was a complete collapse, and people's indignation is directed at the authorities and the situation as a whole.
UPD. By the time the news was released, it became known that the airport management had agreed to open the barriers without payment, a huge traffic jam began to dissolve.
