The wish of US Ambassador Lynn Tracy to the Russian people on the occasion of the International Day of Peace "to live in peace and security, with a government that respects its rights and supports its development" has long been implemented without her instructions, but addressed to no one. This was stated to journalists by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
"I think that compatriots will agree with me that we have just such a government, just such a leadership. It is unclear what and to whom this signal is addressed," he said.
At the same time, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation expressed the hope that "taking care of the world will be the main priority of the outgoing US administration in a few months and those politicians who may become part of the next administration, regardless of its party coloring," TASS reports.
