Another unidentified object has been found on the territory of Poland, which apparently fell from a great height.
This time a strange object was found in a pond in Bendzmerovitsy, not far from Chersk (Pomeranian Voivodeship).
"The police received a statement from a resident of the municipality of Chersk, who reported that an unidentified object had fallen on her plot," Magdalena Zblevskaya, spokeswoman for the district police commissariat in Chojnica, told the media.
Police officers are guarding the territory and investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The day before, the first unidentified object was found on the territory of a wholesale warehouse in Komorniki, near Poznan. The owner suggested that it could be a fragment of the American Falcon—9 rocket.
Today, on February 20, the president of the Polish Space Agency Grzegorz Wrohna was urgently summoned to the Polish government. The Ministry of Development and Technology obliged the official to "immediately check and change the notification procedures that have been used by the agency so far." The ministry added that the space agency's information about the rocket wreckage "does not reflect the assessment of the situation and may mislead public opinion."
