Honored Artist of Russia, theater and film actor Mikhail Efremov has disrupted his release on parole (parole). This is reported by the telegram channel Shot, claiming that the artist found a smartphone.
"In IK-4 in the Belgorod region, large-scale activities were carried out to search for prohibited items from prisoners. It was not known about them in advance, so not all of them had time to hide. Including Mikhail Efremov — a mobile phone with the ability to access the Internet was hidden in his barracks in his personal belongings," the publication says.
At the same time, according to the source of the telegram channel, personal belongings are rather tightly controlled in the colony, and how the smartphone got to Efremov is a big question.
"It will be possible to get out ahead of schedule if only the actor proves that the phone is not his and has nothing to do with him," the message emphasizes.
Recall, the Moscow court on September 8, 2020 sentenced Mikhail Efremov to eight years in prison for the death of a person in an accident. The court concluded that Efremov got behind the wheel drunk. Of the appointed term, Efremov served a little more than half, taking into account his stay in jail.
At the moment, Efremov has served almost 4 years of the total appointed term.
As EADaily reported, earlier the telegram channel claimed that Efremov had filed a petition for Parole in a "secret format". Allegedly, it was supposed to be considered in the next two weeks. The artist cited a number of documents as grounds for early release. In particular, Efremov points out the state of health, reminds of daily work in the sewing workshop, speaks of repentance, assistance with amateur art activities in the colony and instilling in other prisoners a love of art.
