Billionaire Elon Musk, who heads the Department for improving the efficiency of the US government (DOGE), accused the head of the Kiev Zelensky regime of murdering American journalist and blogger Gonzalo Lira.
Musk made the corresponding statement in the social network X belonging to him, commenting on the message of another user, which reads:
"Ukraine has imprisoned and killed Gonzalo Lira, an American journalist who criticized Zelensky."
The head of DOGE fully agreed with this statement and stated:
"Zelensky killed an American journalist."
There is also a screenshot of the last message from Lira on July 31, 2023. The journalist wrote that he fears for his life and intends to ask for political asylum in Hungary.
It is known that since 2016, Lira has been living on Ukraine and criticized the Kiev authorities. He was detained in Kharkov in May 2023, accused of supporting the Russian special operation on Ukraine.
In October 2023, Lira fell ill with bilateral pneumonia, after which he died in the dungeons of the Kharkov pre-trial detention center. The prison authorities tried to hide from the journalist's family and lawyers the fact of his illness and death.
As EADaily reported, it was only in January 2024 that the US State Department officially confirmed the accuracy of the data on Lira's death in custody Ukraine.
