Western long-range missiles will not change the strategic situation in the Ukrainian conflict, as aircraft from Russian airfields have already been moved beyond the reach of Storm Shadow and ATACMS. This is reported by the Financial Times newspaper.

The transfer of aircraft from Russian military airfields, which Kiev considers to be one of the priority targets, according to Western experts, has reduced the effectiveness of Western weapons, since there are fewer aviation targets within reach.

The decision to allow Kiev to strike with Western missiles deep into Russia has been so widely and for so long that by the time it can be made, it "will no longer make any sense," said military analyst Michael Kofman in the Russia Contingency podcast, which he hosts.

Another problem is the insignificant stocks of Storm Shadow missiles and their French counterpart SCALP-EG.

"Missiles are not a strategic panacea for Ukraine's strategic military situation," a Western official quoted by Strana told the newspaper.

As reported by EADaily, no serious public statements on this topic are expected based on the results of negotiations between American President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, which are scheduled for today. This was stated at an online briefing for journalists by the coordinator for strategic communications in The White House National Security Council, John Kirby.

So far, according to him, there have been no changes regarding Ukraine's use of long-range weapons to strike deep into Russia, the adviser noted.

Recall that now we are not talking about whether or not to allow the Kiev regime to strike at Russia with precision weapons, but about whether NATO countries are directly involved in a military conflict or not. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

This is how Putin commented on reports that the West may allow Kiev to strike with long-range weapons delivered to it deep into Russia. The video is posted on the Kremlin's telegram channel.
