A local resident was detained in Nizhny Novgorod, who, on the instructions of the Kiev special services, was preparing to blow up one of the industrial enterprises. This was announced today, December 17, by the press service of the FSB in the region.
"It has been established that the suspect, acting intentionally for ideological reasons, decided to establish cooperation on a confidential basis with the special service of Ukraine acting against the security of the Russian Federation," the statement said.
He himself proposed to undermine the buildings, structures and equipment of one of the industrial enterprises of Nizhny Novgorod.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 275.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (cooperation on a confidential basis with a foreign state, international or foreign organization). A search was conducted at the detainee's place of residence, electronic data carriers were found and seized.
Now the FSB officers in the Nizhny Novgorod region are establishing possible accomplices.
As EADaily reported, on December 10, it became known about the detention in Nizhny Novgorod of a 21-year-old German citizen, who also has Russian citizenship, who was preparing to blow up railway tracks for a fee. An improvised explosive device ready for use was found at his place of residence, as well as correspondence with a representative of the Ukrainian special services.
