Argentine leader Javier Miley announced a great economic success. After more than 100 years, his country's budget managed to avoid a deficit. Elon Musk himself congratulated Miley on this, as reported by Gazeta.

"The deficit was the source of all our misfortunes, without it there is no debt, no emissions, no inflation. Today we have a permanent budget surplus, free from insolvency, for the first time in 123 years. [...] Today, the issue of money is a thing of the past," Javier Miley said during a press conference.

Recall that just a few days ago it was a year since Miley headed the government of Argentina.

During the year of his presidency, Javier Miley managed to reduce monthly inflation from 25% to the current 2.7%, which significantly strengthened the value of the Argentine peso. Although many emphasize that he significantly balanced the budget, during the reign of Miley, the poverty rate in the country increased by 10%. In the first half of 2024, approximately 25 million people in Argentina were poor.
