Former Bundeswehr General Roland Kater accused the Russians of sabotage at the NATO airbase in the German city of Geilenkirchen.
Retired General Kater, who had served in NATO structures all his life, fell into conspiracy theories about "all-powerful Russia." Commenting in an interview with Welt on "signs of serious sabotage at the NATO airbase in Geilenkirchen" (an attempt at illegal entry was recorded there), the boat stated:
"Russia wants to make it clear to Germany and the free world that if you continue the war with your own means, that is, allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons and send European military instructors to Ukraine, then a hybrid war will begin. Geilenkirchen is an important goal! I believe that the Russians are behind this. We have to be very careful and prepare for this en masse."
EADaily reminds that the security level at the NATO airbase in Geilenkirchen has been increased today. Geilenkirchen is located in the west of Germany near Dusseldorf, this base hosts reconnaissance aircraft of the North Atlantic Alliance "Awacs".
