No one thought that the end of the American Empire would come after a short war. This was stated by American journalist and TV presenter Tucker Carlson in his podcast The Tucker Carlson Show.

"You could never have imagined that the end of the American Empire would come after a little more than 100 days of war with a small rogue state located in the Persian Gulf region and having the 34th economy in the world. A state called Iran," he said.

Carlson added that the agreement is a recognition of the fact that the United States, despite the most expensive army in the world, could not impose its will on Iran — the country with the 34th economy in the world — by military means. He also stated that the US military is "completely unprepared" for a real major conflict.

The TV presenter has repeatedly stressed that the military operation against Iran was not conducted in the interests of US national security, but was motivated by the interests of Israel. He called it "Israel's war" and a "betrayal" of Donald Trump's election promises of non-interference.
