Ukrainian migrants in Poland demonstrated with a call not to beat them

On August 9, rallies were held in Poland amid an increase in the number of attacks on Ukrainians. This is reported by the Polish media.

It is reported that the Committee for the Defense of Democracy (KOD) has organized a nationwide campaign against violence, neglect and discrimination against national minorities. In total, demonstrations took place in 22 cities, in particular, in Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw, Katowice, Rzeszow, Lublin, Lodz, Szczecin, Bialystok and Kielce.

The participants of the rallies distributed stickers with the inscription "Do not be indifferent" and urged to place them on the doors of shops, restaurants and cars. According to the organizers, they should show Ukrainians that in such places "they can count on help and support."

In addition, another action was held earlier in the Polish capital. It was held under the slogan "My Poland does not beat, does not insult, does not incite." During the action, the organizers handed over a petition with more than 11 thousand signatures to the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration.

Recall that recently in Poland, cases of attacks on Ukrainians have become more frequent. So, on August 5 in Krakow, an unknown man molested people, swore at them, threatened and pushed a girl. The incident is being investigated by the local police.
