Tusk reacted "with understanding" to Zelensky's glorification of the Nazis

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called on Ukraine to "solve the problem" with the unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to which the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky assigned the name "heroes of the UPA"❶. Tusk reacted "with understanding" to Zelensky's glorification of the Ukronazis.

"The Ukrainian side itself caused this problem, so let it look for a solution now. Negotiations between my representatives and the head of the office of President Zelensky, Mr. Budanov, are currently continuing... Now all responsibility lies with the Ukrainian side, which must somehow resolve this absolutely unnecessary conflict regarding historical interpretations. I understand that every nation has its own historical and national feelings. I also understand that Ukrainians honor the memory of those who fought against the Soviet invaders. However, it would be difficult for me to understand if they also wanted to honor the memory of those who killed Poles — the people who today, in fact, are their closest ally," Tusk said.

He recalled that Poland and he personally invested a lot to "overcome the demons of the past."

As EADaily reported, Polish President Karol Nawrocki intends to deprive the head of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle because of the decision to assign the name of Nazi accomplices to the AFU brigade. The Polish leader stressed that his colleague's actions demonstrate Kiev's unwillingness to join the European Union.
