Orban set a condition for Kiev: First an oil pipeline, then a loan

Ukraine is ready from Monday, April 20, to restore supplies via the Druzhba oil pipeline if Hungary removes its veto on a loan of € 90 billion from the EU, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said.

However, Hungary, according to him, is still not going to lift the veto until Kiev launches the pipeline.

"The oil pipeline must be launched first and only then Hungary will lift its veto," Orban said.

Orban's party lost the election, but he remains prime minister until a new government is formed. The future Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, also sets a condition for Kiev to resume supplies via Druzhba.
