Iran shot down the American reconnaissance and strike drone MQ9 over the Strait of Hormuz. This is stated in the message of the press service The Iranian Armed Forces.

"An hour ago, one enemy MQ9 drone of the American-Zionite aggressor was intercepted and successfully hit by the fire of the army's anti—aircraft forces in the east of the Strait of Hormuz and destroyed," the report said, quoted by journalist Vladimir Solovyov in his telegram channel.

According to The Iranian Armed Forces, taking into account the downed drone, the total number of UAVs destroyed by the integrated network of the country's joint air defense command post reached 138.
