According to the source, Moscow's key requirement remained unchanged — the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the territories controlled by Kiev of the DPR. Progress has been made in coordinating procedural issues in the military subgroup at the talks in Geneva, he noted.
"It depends on the decision of the political subgroup how what the military subgroup has developed will be implemented. A meeting at the leadership level is already needed. Apparently, this is how it will be," the source added.
As reported by EADaily, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, considers a personal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to be the best way to achieve a breakthrough on the territorial issue. Zelensky, according to him, instructed his team at the talks in Geneva to raise the issue of a future meeting at the leadership level.
