Today's meeting of the Verkhovna Rada had to be closed due to the mass poisoning of deputies of the Servant of the People party. They did not get to their workplaces due to vomiting, diarrhea and temperatures below 40 °C.
The situation turned out to be so large—scale that the morning session in the Verkhovna Rada had to be closed - there was no one to vote on the agenda. This is the first time in the history of the IX convocation of the parliament (since 2019) when it was not possible to make a decision.
At first, the deputies attributed the poisoning to stale food from the dining room, but most likely the cause was a rotavirus infection, which is now raging in the Ukrainian Bukovel (the largest ski resort), local media write.
The exact number of cases is unknown, but only in the "Servant of the People" there are several dozen of them.
