Residents of Sumy called a disgrace the statement of the Kursk group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that there are no Russian FPV drones over the city.
The group reported that those drones that were seen by the residents of Sumy, in fact, they say, are Ukrainian interceptor drones.
"The communications center of the Kursk group of forces receives requests from the public, which anxiously indicate the overflights of unknown UAVs over the city of Sumy. Flying enemy FPV drones in the sky of the city is physically impossible. What people saw with their own eyes or in the media were Ukrainian interceptor drones. Therefore, we ask media representatives not to succumb to hysterical moods," the group said in a statement.
Local public called this statement a "disgrace."
"This is just some kind of mockery from the Kursk group. While the command will keep silent about this issue and say that these are all fakes and interceptors in general, there will be no case. It's not funny anymore, it's some kind of sur. Shame on the Kursk group, just a shame," writes one of the local public, quoted by Strana.
As EADaily reported in January, the Russian army is creating a springboard for a further offensive in Sumy region. This was reported by the command of the 7th corps of the airborne assault forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
