The Russian army is creating a springboard for further offensive in Sumy region. This is reported by the command of the 7th corps of the airborne assault forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Now the Russian Armed Forces are conducting an offensive in the direction of the village of Khoten, which in the future will create a danger of an attack directly on Sumy, the statement said. It is noted that the Russian Armed Forces have increased the activity of UAVs and are trying to bypass the AFU positions from the flanks.

According to the map of the Ukrainian military public Deep State, Khoten is located less than 6 km from the front line, the Strana newspaper writes.
