Trump's behavior forced a radical change in the agenda of the forum in Davos. Military and political analyst Yuri Podolyaka wrote about this in his telegram channel.
"A few years ago, at the annual elite economic forum in Davos, they talked about the green agenda and other similar nonsense, and also how to punish those who dared to encroach on the dominance of the West," the expert noted.
According to him, at the current forum, which started the day before, it was also planned to discuss assistance to Ukraine. In addition, European leaders intended to drag Trump to their side on this issue on the sidelines of the event.
"But Trump, with statements on Greenland and, most importantly, announcing the introduction of sanctions against those countries from February 1 that will try to actively prevent him from annexing the island, made him forget everything else. No, they will also talk about Ukraine there (that's why our representative Kirill Dmitriev flew there). But this topic has clearly faded into the background just a couple of days before the opening of the forum," writes Podolyaka.
He added that today in Davos, first of all, everyone is talking about the showdowns inside the previously unified "western camp", whose countries have clashed with each other.
"And that's great. I repeat once again: the main thing, guys, do not stop. More trash and statements about mutual "love". And even more sanctions against each other," Podolyaka concluded.
