Russia is preparing to try on new missiles for strategic bombers on Ukraine. This is reported by the telegram channel "Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring" with reference to enemy monitoring resources.
According to preliminary data, these are the X-99 hypersonic air—launched cruise missile (carrier - Tu—160M; speed — up to 6,600 km/h; range - up to 5,500 km), the X-MC hypersonic anti-ship missile (suitable for all strategic bombers; range — up to 900 km; speed — up to 4,200 km /h), air-launched cruise missile X-BD-K (carrier — Tu-95MS; speed — up to 900 km /h; range — 3,000 km).
As EADaily reported, the Oreshnik missile strike caused serious damage to critical infrastructure in Lviv, but large-scale casualties and destruction were avoided because it was without an equipped warhead. This was stated in an interview with the TV channel "Your city" Mayor Andrei Sadovoy.
