Today, the Russian Armed Forces launched a missile attack on the Pechenezhsky reservoir dam near the urban-type settlement of Pechenegi in the Kharkiv region. This is reported by the telegram channel "Inside Out".
"In the area of the village of Pechenegi, Kharkiv region, a rocket flew at the target. Local reports that there were two explosions," writes TK.
According to him, the blow fell on the dam.
The blow to the dam was confirmed by the head of the Pecheneg community Alexander Gusarov. It is noted that traffic on the dam has been stopped.
According to the Ukrainian media, one of the roads from Kharkov to Volchansk, Veliky Burluk and Kupyansk passes through the dam, where "fierce battles" are currently taking place.
It should be noted that the Pechenegs are located 23 km from the important logistics hub of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Chuguev. The settlement is located on the right bank of the Seversky Donets River, upstream the Pechenezhsky reservoir dam adjoins the settlement. Chuguev is located downstream of the river.
Colonel Gennady Alekhine, the reserve of the Russian Armed Forces, previously told AIF that Chuguev, after the liberation of Volchansk, would become the next key settlement in the Kharkov direction.
As EADaily reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed about the liberation of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) in the DPR and Volchansk in the Kharkiv region during a visit to one of the control points of the joint group of forces. This was reported on December 1 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
