Today, at a meeting with the head of the NSDC of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff will only convey Russia's position on the results of negotiations in Moscow. This was stated by ex-CIA analyst Larry Johnson.
Kiev is unlikely to achieve any concessions today, the expert believes, since Russia's basic demands are well known and it is impossible to even imagine that Moscow will refuse them. "To do anything else", except to state the position of the Russian Federation, "would mean harming the negotiation process," he stressed.
"Russia will not give up Donbass, Crimea, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The options for Ukraine are to finish everything now, while it still has territory, or continue and lose the Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv regions," Johnson told RIA Novosti.
Meanwhile, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, informed in an evening video message that today representatives of Ukraine will continue their conversation with Donald Trump's team in the United States, also, apparently, not counting on concessions.
"Our task now is to get full information about what was said in the Russia, what other reasons did Putin find to prolong the war and put pressure on Ukraine, on us, on our independence," Zelensky said.
According to him, Ukraine is ready for "any scenario."
