Poland has handed over to Ukraine several PAC-3 MSE missiles designed for Patriot air defense systems. This is reported by the European media.
According to Defence24, Polish Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh said that the decision was made at the request of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, as well as the supreme Commander of US forces in Europe, General Alexus Grinkevich, after consultations with a group of users. According to him, the number of missiles provided "is the limit of Polish capabilities" and does not affect the defense potential of the air defense of Poland itself.
Later, Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk confirmed that Poland had transferred several such missiles to Ukraine.
"From three to nine — that's how many missiles we handed over to Ukraine," he said.
According to him, Warsaw then received guarantees from the United States about the compensation of missiles tenfold in case of danger. He also said that this process took place in full agreement with the United States and Secretary General of the Alliance.
Recall that Poland is one of their most important allies of Ukraine. However, in Warsaw emphasizes that the possibilities of their military assistance to Kiev have been completely exhausted.
