In Ukraine, 1.05 million m2 of warehouse space was damaged, of which about 750,000 m2 in Kyiv region, RBC — Ukraine reports.
It is noted that dairy products, chilled meat and fish, baby food and even cigarettes are massively disappearing from store shelves — as a result of Russian strikes, the production facilities of the most popular manufacturers, such as Danone, Lactel, President, Yagotinskoe, as well as distribution centers of Fozzy Group and Novus, suffered.
"The most acceptable way out of the situation would be to deliver the goods directly to each store, but now this is unrealistic: about 75% of manufacturers do not have the necessary fleet and staff, and the stores themselves are physically unable to accept hundreds of individual cars every day," the publication says.
Another problem is export. Delivery of a truck to Central Asia can cost about 15,000 euros, whereas for competitors from Russia and Belarus — up to 3,000 euros.
