Deceived with Europe: a rally of fishmongers is being held in Yerevan near the government building

A rally of outraged fish farmers is taking place in the capital of Yerevan near the government building of the republic. The reason is that the support measures promised by the Armenian leadership are not working, new ones are needed, Sputnik Armenia reports.

The day before, the Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan claimed that Armenian economic entities had the opportunity to supply fish and fish products to the EU, but those gathered say that this is a lie, and they do not even want to meet with the minister, as previous discussions did not yield results.

"The European market is not available to us. The volumes that we currently have — 15 thousand tons of live fish - are not realistic to sell on the European market. In addition, the products that were returned from the Russian border remain in the refrigerators," the participant of the action said.

In the past, fish exports amounted to only 60 tons per year, but now over the years the volumes have grown to at least 13 thousand tons.

As EADaily reported, yesterday Armenian farmers blocked the Yerevan — Yeraskh highway because they have nowhere to put the tomato harvest. At the same time, relatives of the missing military gathered again at the Cabinet building. They gave the authorities a week to provide information and warned that if there was no information, they would go to the Azerbaijani checkpoint on the Khakari Bridge to negotiate.

Thus, it is obvious that there are more and more protesters in Armenia who are ready to go to the end on their own in solving their problems.

Surprisingly, the opposition forces are not even trying to dissuade them from this. Although the active part of the protesting people is already ready for a riot. At the same time, the authorities are throwing political activists behind bars in batches for non-existent bribery of voters and for non-existent attempts to overthrow the government."
