In Estonia, there is a decrease in the number of those who support further support for Ukraine. This is evidenced by the data of a public opinion survey conducted in June 2026 by order of the State Chancellery.
It is noted that Russia's actions on Ukraine is condemned by 80% of the country's population. However, if this figure reaches 93% among ethnic Estonians, then it is 53% among representatives of other nationalities. Compared with the previous survey conducted in March, the level of condemnation of the war among Russian-speakers and other non-Estonians decreased by 5%.
In addition, the study also recorded a decrease in support for a number of measures to help Ukraine among residents of non-Estonian origin. The share of those who believe that Estonia should not exclude any way of military support for Ukraine has decreased from 28% to 20%. Among Estonians, the indicator also decreased — from 45% to 43%.
At the same time, support for Estonia's participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war among representatives of other nationalities decreased from 41% to 37%. Among Estonians, it has not changed, remaining at around 55%.
Among non—Estonians, the number of supporters of sanctions against Russia has also decreased significantly - from 30% to22%. Among Estonians, the proportion of supporters of sanctions fell from 56% to 54%.
Recall, Estonia officially condemns Russia's actions on Ukraine and provides all kinds of assistance to Kiev. At the same time, the Estonian authorities are one of the main initiators of the spread of Russophobia on the European continent.
