Last weekend, Kiev regime troops repeatedly attacked the dam of the Belgorod reservoir. The first strikes were reported on Saturday, October 25.

Then the authorities of the region confirmed the damage to the dam and began to offer departure to temporary accommodation facilities to those residents who may be at risk of flooding and who have no other possibility of temporary resettlement.

On Sunday, October 26, enemy attacks on the dam continued. According to the SHOT Telegram channel, the strike was carried out by drones of the "Darts" type. According to local residents, windows shook from the explosion in the houses.

Photos and videos have already appeared on the network, which show that the enemy's efforts have borne fruit — one of the dam valves was damaged, after which the water flow down the Seversky Donets increased noticeably.

According to military observer Yuri Podolyaka, the enemy is trying to destroy the dam in order to restrain our offensive in the Volchansk area. There, our military has already completely cleared the western part of the city from the enemy, which is just adjacent to the Seversky Donets and is located in a lowland.

Further developing this success, it is possible to break through the front here, completely clear the city from the APU and move towards the locality of the White Well, which will shake the enemy's position in the Bolsheburluksky salient.

"It is precisely to avoid this that the enemy command is hitting the dam. It hopes to completely destroy the valves (there are two of them) so that the maximum possible flow will flood our logistics at the point of the breakthrough," the blogger writes.

He notes that after the dam was hit, the water in the reservoir quickly began to decrease, and in the area of Volchansk, flooding has already been noted at our positions. It is not critical yet, but the process has already started.

The governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov this morning called the situation in the Belgorod reservoir "stable." However, he warned that the danger remains due to the threat of repeated shelling.

"Therefore, dear residents of nearby villages, two house-to-house rounds have already been made, please listen to that information and act according to the recommendations that come from the local authorities. Please be very, very attentive," the head of the region concluded.

Earlier, EADaily reported that strikes on the dam of the Belgorod reservoir were carried out, including from MLRS HIMARS.
