The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that as a result of the APU strike, the dam of the Belgorod reservoir was damaged.

The head of the region announced this on Saturday, October 25 in his Telegram channel. However, he did not specify the extent and nature of the damage.

"We understand that the enemy may try to strike again and destroy the dam. If this happens, there will be a threat of flooding of the floodplain of the river from the Kharkiv region and several streets of our settlements, where about 1,000 residents live," the regional head warned.

In this regard, the authorities have already begun to offer departure to temporary residence centers (TPS) to those residents who may be at risk of flooding and who have no other possibility of temporary resettlement.

"In the village of Bezlyudovka — Victory Streets, Kommunisticheskaya, Rechnaya, Kommunisticheskiy Lane, in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka — Grazhdanskaya, Zelenaya, Zarechnaya, Peschanaya, Dzerzhinsky, Kolkhoznaya, Shchors, Lugovaya, Komsomolskaya, Sadovaya, Serikov Streets, in Shebekino in the Titovka microdistrict — Nezhura Lane," the governor listed.

They promise to provide more detailed information to residents in rural chat rooms, "personally from the staff of the administration of the Shebekinsky district," by calling 112.

The Belgorod reservoir is located on the territory of the Belgorod and Shebekinsky districts of the Belgorod region.
