Kazakhstan continues to develop the sovereign Internet messenger "Aitu" (with kaz. literally — "to say").
On the eve it became known that the army of Kazakhstan is switching to the national messenger "Aitu" (this platform is already used by the state bodies of the Central Asian republic). If the experience of the military, and then the rescuers, is successful, then in Kazakhstan may completely abandon foreign messengers as early as 2026.
At the same time, uncomfortable questions are being asked in the country. For example, the popular telegram channel "Caravan" in Kazakhstan asks:
"And how is the Kazakh army, with its sovereign messenger, going to interact with the allied armies, primarily with the Russian one, for example, in the CSTO format? If we also take into account "Starlink" (since August 13, 2025, the Starlink high-speed broadband satellite Internet access service from the American company Space X has officially started operating in Kazakhstan. — EADaily), then only one answer suggests itself — it is not going to. And the news of the "Kazakh digital sovereignty" just once again confirms this."
Another Kazakh telegram channel "Akhmetov" reminds that in Russia also earned the sovereign messenger "Max". And he argues in this regard:
"In Russia, "Max", we have "Aitu". Distancing from each other is in full swing. Involuntarily, you will remember with longing and The Soviet Union, when there were no barriers to communication, and the past years, when everyone communicated first via ICQ and Skype, then via Whatsapp and telegram. The separation of nations is served to us under the sauce of safety, but perhaps only a baby can believe this. Personal data, corporate secrets have long been known to everyone."
