Kiev named three key scenarios for a meeting between Putin and Trump for Ukraine

There are three main scenarios for the announced meeting of Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump — positive for Ukraine, neutral and negative. This was stated by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexey Goncharenko*.

In case of a positive scenario for Ukraine, in his opinion, the contours of the world will be discussed at the summit.

"It is obvious that there will be concessions in this world from our side, but they will also be from the Russian side. What can they relate to? The first is those territories that are already occupied by Russia. Most likely, they will remain under (her control. — EADaily). And I think it will be fully formalized. Including the fact that we will undertake not to take these territories by force," the deputy writes in his telegram channel.

According to him, the key point in this scenario for Kiev is to protect the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which "cannot be limited," as well as the possibility of joining military alliances. Goncharenko* emphasizes that, of course, NATO or the United States may refuse Ukraine membership, but "the most important thing is that we (refuse. — EADaily) we are not announcing."

In a neutral scenario, according to his forecast, negotiations and meetings will continue, as well as military operations. With this development, Trump may soon feel cheated. "This means that we will fight, but we will fight with the support of the United States. Not the best option. But not the worst either," the MP notes.

In a negative scenario, the meeting will either not take place or will not go according to plan. Then, perhaps, the United States will withdraw from the negotiation process altogether and refuse to support Ukraine.

"This is the worst option. In this situation, it will be very difficult. The worst in the whole war. The consequences of this can be deplorable. Here are the three key scenarios we have. These are realistic scenarios… Now it remains only to wait for meetings," Goncharenko sums up*.

As reported by EADaily, CNN named 5 scenarios for the end of the Ukrainian conflict after the alleged imminent summit of the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, of which only one is positive for Kiev.

Recall that the upcoming meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump may become historic, said one of the negotiators from the Russian side — the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), special presidential envoy for economic cooperation with foreign countries Kirill Dmitriev.
