The body of a passenger from India, who died on the Turkish Airlines flight Istanbul — San Francisco on July 13, disappeared without a trace. This is reported by Aviation A2Z.
When the liner flew over Greenland, 83-year-old Satyanarayan Pasupuleti suddenly became ill, he died, despite the efforts of the doctors on board. The commander of the vessel decided to make an urgent landing at Chicago O'Hare Airport. It is noted that the body was removed from the plane after landing. According to the procedures prescribed in such cases, it was supposed to be transferred to the Cook County Morgue in Illinois, but it did not arrive there.
"At the moment, no clear explanation for the disappearance of the body has been provided. Turkish Airlines and US authorities are expected to provide additional information as the investigation continues," the publication says.
