US President Donald Trump, commenting on the plans of billionaire Elon Musk to create his own party, said on his Truth Social network that he was sad to see a former colleague "fly off the rails."

On Saturday, Musk announced the formation of his political party, which he called the "Party of America."

"It saddens me to watch Elon Musk completely "fly off the rails", in fact turning into a disaster over the past five weeks. He even wants to found a third political party, despite the fact that they have never been successful in The United States — the system does not seem to be designed for them. At the same time, Trump recalled the former candidate for the post of head of NASA, Jared Isaacman, who is a close friend of Musk, calling him a "pure-blooded Democrat" because he had never donated funds to his Republican Party before.

"I also found it inappropriate that a very close friend of Elon, who worked in the space business, would run NASA when NASA plays such a big role in Elon's corporate life," the American president noted, referring to the fact that SpaceX Mask is the executor of many US space contracts.

At the end of June, Musk, against the background of disagreement with Trump's bill, which cuts federal spending but at the same time provides serious tax incentives, proposed creating a new political party in the United States, saying that the country is now "one-party."
