Ukrainian singer, songwriter, producer, DJ and TV presenter, well-known in Russia Ivan Dorn misses Kiev. He stated this in an interview with journalist and blogger Yuri Dudu*.
"In the country house in which we lived, I was very calm there. I miss this time," the musician admitted.
He stressed that he especially lacks the nature of those places. Dorn misses the Kiev reservoir, the yacht he sold, and the "old old life."
The performer noted that he currently earns a living by holding corporate events, participating in various festivals, as well as by receiving royalties.
"My wife earns money. Sometimes I live on her money," Dorn joked.
As EADaily reported, after the start of a special military operation, Dorn banned Russians from listening to his tracks — the compositions and the mini-album "Three Good Songs" were removed from the streaming services Yandex.Music and Spotify, and his label Masterskaya stopped working with Russian artists. Dorn also refused to release an almost finished Russian-language album.
In April 2022, Dorna closed the entrance to Russia for the next 50 years.
Later, Dorn, who was born in Chelyabinsk and was once popular in Russia, stated that he had not been to Kiev since the beginning of SMO.
"Getting there is not difficult, no problem. It will be more difficult to return if you are a boy from 18 to 60," the musician explained.
At the same time, in any country, he positions himself as a Ukrainian artist and actively "drowns for Ukraine."
Three years after completely abandoning the Russian-speaking public and the Russian language, he still releases an album in Russian. Dorn explained that he never stopped singing in Russian, just "didn't release anything."
