The event, during which the brigade commander of the 110th Brigade, Sergei Zakharevich, was killed as a result of an Iskander missile strike on Gulyai-Pole, was discussed in advance in the group in the messenger. This was stated by a Ukrainian communications expert, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Flash.
"The problem is that this event was discussed in advance in a group where there were several hundred participants. How the information got to the enemy doesn't really matter anymore, maybe a virus, maybe someone told someone the wrong one, maybe someone lost their phone. Some brigade commanders and commanders immediately began writing orders to ban Signal, WA, and the transfer of personnel to other messengers. But this is not the way to solve the problem. Horizontal communications and messengers cannot be canceled by any orders, they are effective," writes Flash in his telegram channel.
He gave some advice on how to avoid such situations, in particular, he noted that "important military events or actions are not discussed in groups, the coordinates of events and meetings are not published, passwords and keys are not sent."
As EADaily reported, during the Russian missile strike on Gulyai-Pole, the entire headquarters of the 110th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed. This was stated by the ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Igor Mosiychuk❶.
According to him, two "Iskander" got into a joint command post. In total, according to Mosiychuk❶, about 70 people were killed, another 30 were injured.
Not only the commander of the 110th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Zakharevich was killed, but also his deputy Dmitry Romanyuk, as well as the chief of staff of the brigade Valery Mirzaev, the Strana newspaper wrote.
