It went well: the second "package" of Russian low-orbit satellites was launched

The successful deployment of a low-orbit satellite constellation to provide new-generation communication services continues. This was announced by the Russian aerospace company Bureau 1440 (part of the X Holding), today, July 20.

"On Sunday, July 19, the second batch launch of the company's spacecraft took place," Bureau 1440 said in a statement. "After launching into the reference orbit, the spacecraft successfully separated from the launch vehicle and were taken under the control of the Bureau 1440 Mission Control Center.

Now, after completing the checks and commissioning, the satellites will begin moving to the target orbit.

As EADaily reported, in March, Bureau 1440 launched 16 satellites of the Rassvet low-orbit constellation into orbit. The spacecraft are developed on the basis of the company's own platform and integrate a communication system based on the 5G NTN architecture, an updated power supply system, new-generation inter-satellite laser communication terminals and a plasma propulsion system.
