What is happening now between Russia and Azerbaijan is an aggravation of a complex of problems: internal and external, political scientist Alexei Mukhin believes.

Internal problems are based on the complex of political inferiority of the Azerbaijani society, which operates with the concept of "imperial flashbacks", etc. in relation to the Russian Federation: the entire list of listed claims simply confirms the anamnesis, the political scientist writes in the telegram channel.

"External problems are also connected with the Kremenchug refinery destroyed during the SMO at Ukraine, which was engaged in Azerbaijani oil, and the presence in Azerbaijan of a huge number of pro-Western NGOs (not so long ago The EU and Britain have allocated significant funds just to "achieve democracy," read — to create turbulence as needed), and by the actions of British and other Western intelligence agencies using the criminal ethnic element as agents on the territory, including the Russian Federation," Mukhin believes.

He noted that various anti—Russian actors, primarily Ukrainian ones, for example, are trying hard to incite anti-Azerbaijani sentiments in the media and social networks.

"I think that, despite this, civil society will not be led to provocations, and Russian law enforcement and special services will take advantage of the circumstances in order to "put in order" the situation with ethnic groups in the country. At the same time, they will thin out the ranks of agents of foreign special services in the criminal and near—criminal environment," the political scientist said.

Mukhin added that "the events in Azerbaijan and the brutal behavior of local security forces are interpreted by some as a signal to relocators to return to the Russian Federation to start subversive activities."
