A British farmer retaliated by spraying a BMW, Mercedes and other luxury cars illegally parked in his field with slurry. This is reported by Metro.
More than 20 cars were sprayed with liquid manure in a field intended for grazing sheep in Rydal Water, in the Lake District, Cumbria, during the holiday. A local farmer chose this way to take revenge on "privileged" drivers, after they apparently ignored a sign that read: "Please: DO NOT PARK IN THE FIELD" during the lamb season.
"I can't blame the farmer. These drivers ignored the sign and parked on the field on purpose, so it's fair. Any farmer who dealt with tourists dreamed about it. Imagine that you come back after a long walk and find a car covered in mud — it's terrible. But it's their own fault. This serves as a good deterrent and, in fact, is fair," commented Dylan Walkley, a 25—year-old farmer who also rested in the area and captured the "dirty consequences."
According to Walkley, he later saw the same cars in line at a local car wash.
Another eyewitness called the incident "rural karma" for the possible scaring of sheep.
"The field looked like a luxury car dealership... after a compost explosion. I've never laughed so loud. The lambs are fine. The farmer is a legend," he said.
Netizens supported the farmer. One of the local residents wrote on Facebook ❶: "Well done. Unfortunately, we don't usually go to the local beautiful places during the holidays because we don't like to see how our beautiful countryside is treated."
Now the police are dealing with this case.
"The police were informed at 22.00 on May 25 about cars sprayed, presumably, with cow dung in a place not far from Rydal. Our district police teams are conducting additional investigations to clarify the circumstances," said a spokesman for Cumbria Police.
