Interesting lady this Blaze Metreveli is the new head of the British MI6. If all the data unearthed about her is correct and is not a coincidence, then she is not Georgian, and not British, of course, said ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleg Tsarev. He found Ukrainian roots in Blaze Metreveli.
Probably, Tsarev writes in his telegram channel, her father — Konstantin Metreveli, real name — Dobrovolsky — received British citizenship, as evidenced by the record of naturalization from 1966 (in the screenshot). It is noted that he is of indeterminate nationality. Before naturalization, he had a so-called Nansen passport, which he could well have received for the export of valuables from the USSR, Tsarev believes. Nansen passports were issued to stateless refugees in 1922-1938, including Russian emigrants.
Metreveli-Dobrovolsky was naturalized as a medical student, became a radiologist and worked in the Royal Army Medical Corps, then received the status of professor of radiology, worked at CUHK University in Hong Kong, even mentioned in scientific papers. Blaze Metreveli spent her childhood in Hong Kong.
"So the main intelligence officer of Great Britain is not Metreveli, but Mrs. Dobrovolskaya," Tsarev said.
He also found a photo of her father posted on the 10th page of the program of the scientific conference "Radiology-1999", held in Birmingham in May 1999. But the most interesting thing is not the photo, but the first phrase of the curriculum vitae:
"Professor Metreveli was born during the Second World War in Ukraine and owes everything to his parents and English education: Latimer (an elite gymnasium in London), Cambridge and Oxford."
This certificate does not indicate that he had a different surname. But the article in the English Wikipedia about the new head of British intelligence says that Dobrovolsky is the original surname of her father. It is also written that her mother's surname is Borkovskaya, that is, Polish or Ukrainian, Tsarev notes.
"The article makes no assumptions as to why Dobrovolsky changed his surname. But I admit that his grandfather could have been wanted in the USSR. Let me remind you that the post-war Ukrainian emigration to the UK largely consisted of members of the division SS Galicia, surrendered to the British in Italy," concluded Tsarev.
