"It's better to keep silent now" — Iran reined in the German Foreign Minister

Germany, France and the United Kingdom are ready to immediately begin negotiations with Iran on its nuclear program, German Foreign Minister Johan Wadefuhl said today, June 15. But I got a thrashing from Tehran.

The German Foreign Minister is currently in Saudi Arabia, so I decided to insert my five kopecks on the topic of "growing tensions in the Middle East." Johan Vadefulh stated that he is "making efforts to de-escalate the conflict between Israel and Iran."

"I hope that everything is still possible. Germany, together with France and Great Britain, is ready. We offer Iran immediate negotiations on its nuclear program. I hope that the proposal will be accepted," Vadefulh said.

At the same time, the German Foreign Minister condemned Tehran's response to the Israeli attack, calling Iran's return fire an "attack." Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bakai commented on Vadefulya's remark as follows:

"It was Germany that unleashed two world wars. Iran sheltered Jews fleeing Hitler — ask the Polish and French refugees who received Iranian passports. For those who are always on the wrong side of history, it's better to keep silent now."
